GOOD TRAVEL IS IN THE DETAILS

A trip that fits your life.
Down to the little things.

Maybe you want Kyoto without racing between temples. An India trip with the right local help. Or a retreat that suits the way you actually like to spend a day. We start there, then work out how it all fits together.

A DIFFERENT CHAPTER OF JAPAN

The journey can be
the highlight.

Kanazawa’s old streets. A day among Shirakawa-go’s thatched houses. A comfortable train journey you actually look forward to.

These were highlights of my own Japan trip, including Gran Class. The useful question is which of them belongs in yours—and what deserves more time to make it work.

A PERSON BEHIND THE PLAN

I’ve taken the long way.
So I know why the details matter.

I’ve traveled extensively across India and much of Asia—from Japan’s city neighborhoods to motorcycle journeys through Spiti and Tawang. I’ve also planned and taken DIY trips with my two young children and my parents, and helped friends and family travel across Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore and the Maldives.

Traveling with different generations teaches you to notice the details: the room layout, the walk after dinner, the transfer after a long flight. My retreat and riding experience adds another perspective. Your dates, budget and preferences determine the plan. I bring the research together into a plan you can understand, question and feel comfortable booking.

A FEW THINGS YOU MAY BE WONDERING

Before we
begin.

Why pay for a plan when there’s so much online?

You’re paying for the decisions between the recommendations: where to sleep, what fits together, which transfer is worth it and where the budget makes the most difference. You receive a plan around your own priorities, with the reasoning made clear.

Do you book hotels or flights for me?

You make and pay for all bookings directly. I provide researched options, booking links and priorities. This keeps your reservations, cancellation terms and travel spending under your control.

Can you guarantee savings or the lowest price?

No fixed saving is promised. I compare total costs and practical tradeoffs, including transfers and cancellation terms. Quotes are checked during planning; prices and availability can change before you book.

Can I request changes to the itinerary?

Yes. Full plans include one grouped revision. You can comment on individual activities and compare alternatives before we finalize the plan. Additional work is quoted before it starts, normally at $35 per hour.

What happens if something changes during the trip?

Full plans include a defined amount of practical assistance, such as researching replacement stays or adjusting a day. Support is available 09:00–19:00 India Standard Time every day, with urgent matters prioritized. It is not 24-hour or emergency support, and suppliers handle their own bookings and refunds.

How soon will I receive my plan?

We agree your start and delivery dates before payment. A full first draft typically takes 5–7 business days after the complete brief and agreed start. Reviews and shortlists typically take 3 business days. Complex requests may take longer.

What if I’m not happy with the result?

Ask for a full refund of my fees. For complete trips, you can request it through seven days after the planned trip ends; for standalone reviews, shortlists or sourcing, within seven days of delivery. You don’t have to accept a revision first.
